AG-TECH
AMEA recognises that assessment and training alone will not lead to professional farmer organisations which are able to meet market demands and provide value to their members. Additionally, capacity building and technical assistance providers are increasingly incorporating technology into their projects. The Ag-tech Working Group aims to curate and promote potentially disruptive and appropriate Ag-tech that increase farmer professionalism, incomes and promote sustainable production.
goals
- Research and endorse disruptive Ag-techs that reach smallholder farmers
- Integrate Ag-tech at the global and local levels of AMEA
- Connect AMEA’s work with relevant external platforms and partners
activities
- Annual Ag-tech Guide
- Regular webinars with Ag-tech providers
- Support Local Networks with Ag-tech connections
resources
The Ag-tech Working Group produces annual editions of the ‘AMEA Ag-tech Guide’. This is a collaborative effort to generate a curated (and member-endorsed) set of Ag-techs that support the objectives of AMEA members, local networks and farmer organizations. The Working Group also hosts regular online dialogues with leading Ag-Tech providers and other relevant stakeholders. These sessions are interactive, informative and open to all!
